its a bad idea to use any sort of chemical on the belt itself. laundry detergent can be harsh and you don't want anything to weaken the fibers of the belt. just use warm water.

New comment on an older video, but... How confident are you of how much old oil you got out, vs how much was left in? I have a new generator that is approaching it's break in oil time. Want to make sure I get all of the old oil out, but it looks to be a PITA to get the drain plug to do it. Having said that, I know the capacity of the oil chamber, I could just measure what I extract. Thanks for this video.

Place shinny copper in the water to kill bacteria and algae from growing/contaminating the water (A added benefit of having copper pipes in you home). Real Silver will do the same much faster. Re-shine the copper with lime juice or brush if it turns dark. It's best to use 99.99% copper pieces from plumbing hardware store as some copper can contain trace amounts of toxic metals.

hi there, thanks so much for this method! i dropped my phone in the toilet and realised after 30 mins... apple store told me its beyond repair and i had replaced it into rice. seeing this vid and after vacuuming my phone turned on again! i'm beyond happy. only thing is - it still has water in it, cameras are fogged up. i have a blow dryer with no cold air option and a vacuum with only suction, no exhaust. do you think i can do the sock method with a hair dryer, lowest volume and low heat?
